Our group of companies has always been characterized by a true feeling of togetherness: employees, managers and owners have the same goals and find solutions as a team.
Our family business C.D. Wälzholz was founded more than 180 years ago. We have approximately 1,000 employees in Germany and more than 1,900 worldwide. There are a lot of young people, but also employees, who have been working for us for more than 30 years or in the third or fourth family generation - another reason for calling our company a family business. Our workforce is not only multi-generational, but also international. People from 18 different countries work together at CDW.
In order to produce perfect quality, you need specialists with a great deal of know-how. We have a high reputation for uncompromising quality; therefore CDW attaches great importance to further training and qualifications, and we support each member of our staff in his/her professional development. We provide financial assistance for foremen and technician courses and offer young people study programs at a university combined with an apprenticeship.
We support study programs at technical colleges as well as diploma courses taken at distance universities. Successfully! Quite a few of our present specialists and managers have come this way.
With an apprenticeship rate of more than 5 % CDW is far above average. At present, we train 64 young people to become industrial clerks, process engineers, industrial machinists and mechanics as well as materials testers and electrical engineers.
CDW is proud of its high social responsibilities. All our employees have a safe job even in times of economic fluctuations. Furthermore, we offer a variety of old-age welfare service plans.
