CDW at the CWIEME 2008
From 10 June to 12 June 2008 the C.D. Wälzholz exhibited its products at the CWIEME in Berlin and introduced the CDW electrical steel strip with new water-soluble bonding varnish.
Bonding of rotor and stator packages with bonding varnish has established itself as a superior joining technology for numerous applications.
Bonding varnish is applied in a continuous process by means of the coil coating procedure. In the subsequent drying kiln a "bondable" stage (B-stage) is adjusted via the parameters temperature and strip velocity in accordance with the respective application.
In further processing steps our clients can then bond the stacked packages under pressure by controlling temperature and time. The cured packages are dense and compact. Time-consuming and costly post-processing of the packages is no longer necessary.
Based on experiences with the proven bonding varnish systems PE 46 and PE 75 C.D. Wälzholz and its varnish suppliers have developed the new and improved systems PE 48P and PE 75W.
These systems offer the following advantages:
- no leaking of varnish during bonding
- no differentiation of sides due to B-state on both sides
- water-soluble systems
- higher bonding forces
- higher temperature consistency
