Cold rolled high carbon steel strip is important for a number of different applications. In the automotive industry it is used where it cannot be detected at first view. Despite that it keeps things moving, e.g. in the valve control system of combustion engines or as spring elements in brake systems. Furthermore, it is used in airbags and thus helps to increase safety.

But cold rolled high carbon strip also shows its capabilities quite openly - not only are the blades of garden shears sharp-edged and will always cut well due to the high quality and long life cycle of CDW's cold rolled high carbon steel strip; seat slides in vehicles are also made of this material. In this case our successful special development RAWAEL®-steel strip is used: safe, low weight and easily weldable.

This material has an enormous stiffness, high workability and - compared to other solutions - a weight reduced by 50 %. Thus this material allows for extreme load absorption, which means more safety for all passengers in case of an accident.
