C.D. Wälzholz invests in Taicang, China

With the expansion of our operations in Taicang, we are strengthening our presence in the fast-growing Asian market and taking a further step in implementing our worldwide strategy. Initially, we will expand our floor space to 10,000 m² (107,639 sq ft) and increase the number of employees to over 200. Starting in mid 2013, a 4-high rolling mill and several high-convection bell annealing furnaces will begin production, in addition to the already existing slitting and cut-to-length lines.

This enables us to provide the Asian market with a volume of 70,000 t (154,322 lbs) per year.

German expertise and technology, local production and support:
We are the first German cold rolling company manufacturing in China and offer our customers a local production in China.
