LIN rolling is a further development of the classic cold rolling process. Instead of using cooling lubricants like emulsions or oil the LIN rolling procedure is carried out with liquid nitrogen (LIquid Nitrogen). In contrast to standard lubricants there are no residues and thus the surface of the treated material is of much better quality.
The LIN rolling procedure has been patented and is used successfully in the German plants at Hagen and Plettenberg as well as in São Paulo (Brazil) in order to achieve absolutely exacting surfaces.
